Magic Chords is a free tool built on open-source libraries (Madmom, Essentia, Whisper). This page explains what data is processed when you use it.
Audio files you upload are processed on our server to detect chords and transcribe lyrics. Files are stored temporarily during analysis and deleted immediately after. We do not retain, share, or use your audio for any other purpose.
We store your language and theme preferences in your browser's localStorage. Cookies you upload via Cookie Auth are kept in sessionStorage and sent only with your analysis requests — they are never stored on disk.
Magic Chords does not use any tracking cookies, analytics services, or advertising. We do not collect or store personal information.
Our web server records standard access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are not shared with third parties and are not used to identify users.
Donations are processed through third-party providers (PayPal and Ko-fi). If you choose to donate, each provider's own privacy policy applies. We do not receive or store your payment details.
